Leading industry transformation with deep industry cyber security expertise and capabilities
Singapore Technologies Electronics Limited (ST Electronics) has announced partnerships with key industry partners to develop new cyber security technologies, next-generation products and solutions, and industry-wide capabilities and expertise that will transform the industry and help governments and enterprises secure their critical infrastructures. These solutions and capabilities, produced through the collaborative efforts of the global thought leaders in cyber security, will be announced during GovWare.
ST Electronics will ink two Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with IBM and Siemplify, as well as with CISCO, signifying the strong commitment of key industry players in boosting Singapore’s cyber security posture and countering the rapidly-evolving, complex cyber environment through joint cooperation.
“The increasingly sophistication of cyber security threats and unabated onslaught of global cyber attacks has underscored the need for a proactive and integrated security response from the industry. Our partnerships are a strong demonstration of our determination to strengthen cyber defences of increasingly connected ecosystems together with our partners. These partnerships complement our cyber security expertise, and we will be able to strengthen our customers’ defences against costly and disruptive attacks,” said Mr Ravinder Singh, President of ST Electronics.
MOU with IBM and Siemplify to Co-Develop First-of-its-Kind Cyber Security Operations Centres
ST Electronics will collaborate with IBM to co-develop next generation cyber security operations equipped with cognitive capabilities driven by threat intelligence and Artificial Intelligence. The collaboration intends to introduce a new concept to ST Electronics’ Security Operations Centres (SOCs), transforming traditional SOCs into a cognitive Command and Control Centre.
In addition, ST Electronics has also partnered with Siemplify to deliver tools that will help security teams effectively triage and respond to cyber threats, while meeting Singapore’s regulatory requirements in cyber security.
Resulting from the two partnerships is the development of ST Electronics’ new Cyber Security Command and Control Centre. Equipped with a dynamic system architecture, it leverages advanced data analytics and visualisation, deep machine learning, and automation capabilities to provide a holistic and comprehensive process of detecting external threats, responding to, and recovering from cyber threats. With its modular and scalable design, the Cyber Security Command and Control Centre also provides customised solutions for enterprises in securing their day-to-day cyber operations.
Partnership with Cisco to Deliver Deep Industry Expertise and Cyber Security Capabilities
