Sydney, Australia – 18 April, 2013 – AlgoSec, the market leader for Network Security Policy Management, today announced the expansion of its presence in the Australian market with the appointment of a Business Solutions Architect based in Sydney and the agreement of a partnership with leading distributor Observatory Crest. These announcements come on the heels of 148% increase in sales growth over the past two years in Australia.
“Since Australia became an active region for us several years ago, we have experienced strong sales and in turn a growing customer base that we’ve worked very hard to keep satisfied,” said Guy Givoni, GM of APAC, AlgoSec. “We believe our increased investment and focus in Australia will allow us to further enhance our service to enable our customers and partners to meet complex security management challenges.”
AlgoSec’s new business solutions architect, Mike Landwehr, has extensive experience in the Australian IT market, previously as Director of Product Management for Asia Pacific with Symantec and previously heading business development for Precise Software.
“With Mike’s deep technical and business experience and Observatory Crest providing a distribution channel for the AlgoSec Security Management Suite, we now have the resources in place to help large Australian organisations with complex networks improve both their security and business agility. These moves, in addition to our existing relationships with key partners such as Dimension Data, BT and IBM, position us well for continued growth.”
The AlgoSec Security Management Suite enables more than 1000 organisations worldwide, including three of the four largest banks and two of the three largest telecommunications firms in Australia, to automate security policy management for all major firewalls, routers, VPNs, Secure Web Gateways and related security infrastructure. The AlgoSec Security Management Suite combines AlgoSec Firewall Analyzer, FireFlow and BusinessFlow to streamline firewall operations and change management, ensure continuous compliance, improve service delivery and business application availability and deliver a tighter security policy that offers better protection against cyber-attacks.
“Network security infrastructure and policies are only increasing in complexity, which impacts both security and the operations of a business,” said Martin Christmas, Director Observatory Crest. “We see AlgoSec adding tremendous value to our security solutions portfolio and helping our customers reduce complexity with necessary visibility of business applications and the underlying security policies. This in turn leads to actionable policy analysis and automation to maintain viable and sound security policies and firewall configurations over time.”
