On December 3-5 2012, Cyber Security Forum Asia: A Threat to Critical National Infrastructure will open. The conference and exhibition will bring together experts, end users, policymakers, industry, and procurement staff.
The Conference
The conference will feature high level speakers from organizations including the Australian Government, Kaspersky Lab, The Japanese Asia-Pacific Cyberlaw, Cybercrime and Internet Security Institute, Cloud Security Alliance, CyberSecurity Malaysia, Pakistan Information Security Association, Interpol and Solera Networks. Panel discussions will focus on “Where Does the Responsibility for Securing Cyberspace Fit?” and “Why Have we Not yet Seen Wide-Spread Cyber Terrorism; is it a Myth?” Keynote Speaker will be Dr Carolyn Patterson, Executive Director, CERT Australia. The title of her presentation is “Cyber Warfare and CNI Protection in Australia” and will examine how Australia has developed effective partnerships to counter cyber-attacks against government and industry.
Training Session
The conference will be followed by a half-day training focused workshop led by the International Multilateral Partnership Against Cyber Threats (IMPACT). This workshop will encourage discussions and sharing of knowledge, and expertise in the area of policy and international cooperation that governments can adopt and deploy to further enhance their cybersecurity readiness especially in countering attacks against their critical network information infrastructure.
