Gigamon has promoted Simon Oliver to the role of director of Asia-Pacific channel sales as the company deepens support for partners and customers across a region facing mounting cybersecurity threats and increased complexity in managing hybrid cloud infrastructure.
Based in Melbourne, Oliver will oversee the company’s channel strategy and execution across the broader Asia-Pacific region. His expanded remit follows a successful tenure leading the channel business in Australia and New Zealand, where he helped elevate partner engagement and enablement and align channel operations with the company’s go-to-market priorities.
“Simon is a proven leader and a powerful advocate for our partner ecosystem, and this new role reflects our continued commitment to Gigamon customers and partners in the fast-growing Asia-Pacific region,” said Gigamon Chief Revenue Officer John Giacomini.
Oliver’s appointment comes as organisations in Australia and across the region face a surge in cyberattacks, heightened regulatory scrutiny, and the ongoing shift to hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructure have pushed cybersecurity to the top of the business agenda.
“In this environment, strong channel partnerships are essential to helping customers build resilience and stay ahead of evolving threats,” said Oliver. “Our partners need to supply customers with the right solutions to allow them to be proactive rather than reactive, and that is exactly what Gigamon brings to the channel.”
As a channel-first organisation, Gigamon continues to invest in its partner ecosystem, including through regional partner awards, enablement programs, and co-selling initiatives that support growth for both partners and customers.
