Cybersecurity and compliance company Proofpoint Inc. has appointed George Lee as Senior Vice President of Asia Pacific and Japan. In the Singapore-based role, Lee will lead the company’s growth strategy across the region.
Lee joins Proofpoint from Imperva, where he most recently held the role of Senior Vice President for Asia Pacific and Japan. Before that, George also held senior leadership positions at RSA, EMC, and Avanade.
“George has a track record of exceptional leadership and a profound understanding of the cybersecurity challenges facing CISOs and CIOs today,” said Proofpoint’s Blake Sallé. “His expertise in go-to-market across the region will be instrumental in furthering Proofpoint’s mission to protect people and defend data.”
Lee has over 20 years of expertise in regional sales and operations in the IT and cybersecurity space, where he has scaled businesses, expanded into key growth markets, and developed new strategic initiatives. His wealth of technology experience includes governance, risk and compliance management, identity management, network security including extended detection and response, as well as data and application security.
