- Based in Singapore, Mr. Ng will lead the BeyondTrust APJ team to help customers address today’s increasingly sophisticated and damaging cybersecurity threats.
BeyondTrust has announced the hire of Gene Ng as Regional Vice President, Asia Pacific and Japan. Mr. Ng is a proven team leader with a long history in the security industry, having previously held senior leadership positions at CA Technologies, IBM Security, Blue Coat, McAfee and 3Com. He also founded a business focused on security product distribution, services and training that became one of the top Security Value Added Distributors in the region.
Mr. Ng, based in Singapore, will assume responsibility for BeyondTrust’s business in the Asia Pacific and Japan region marketing software and services that enable businesses to mitigate user-based risks arising from misuse of system or device privileges. In addition, he will oversee efforts to help businesses in the region identify and remediate asset vulnerabilities often targeted by cyber-attackers.

Mr. Ng has served on the executive committee of the Security and Wireless chapters of SGTech (formerly known as Singapore Infocomm Technology Federation), and has been an active member of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) and Special Interest Group in Security and Information Integrity (SIG^2), in addition to participating in the Accreditation / Certification (AC) Evaluation Panel of the National Infocomm Competency Centre (NICC), and on the executive committee of the Young Entrepreneurs’ Organisation (YEO).
