Aurecon has appointed new leaders for its Defence and Advisory practices, as well as the creation of a new Sustaining Capital portfolio.
Damon Howes joined Aurecon in October 2021 as the Market Managing Director, Defence & National Security.
With more than 30 years of experience in roles across both the military and business, Howes has managed large-scale diverse teams across business development, project management, operations, strategic analysis and capability development. Most recently he led a national team as Executive Director – Defence at JLL, where he was responsible for account strategy.
He will be based in Canberra and provide leadership across Australia.
Sustaining Capital Portfolio
Aurecon is also forming a new Sustaining Capital portfolio, to be led by former Defence Market Managing Director, David Barnes, who will be joined by industrial digital solutions expert, Denis Marshment.
Denis has 30 years’ experience in engineering, asset management and data science. In joining Aurecon, he will work with clients in harnessing digital technologies to drive operational performance improvement and capital efficiency.
Also joining Aurecon this month as the Advisory Group Managing Principal is former Deloitte Operations Consulting Lead Partner, Julian Dolby.
