Integrates Global Threat Intelligence, Analysis, Traffic & Trend Reports, Industry-wide News and Social Media Activity
Arbor Networks Inc., a leading provider of network security and management solutions for enterprise and service provider networks, today launched a new advanced threat portal that combines Arbor’s unique threat intelligence and analysis with industry-wide news and social media content.
The new ATLAS Threat Portal features information from the ATLAS ® Active Threat Level Analysis System, a unique collaboration between Arbor and more than 270 service provider customers globally. These customers share anonymous traffic data from their product deployments with Arbor, totaling more than 45 Tbps of peak traffic, in order to generate a globally scoped view into the threat landscape. This massive data set gives Arbor’s Security Engineering & Response Team (ASERT) a unique position to study malware, botnets and DDoS attacks that threaten network infrastructure and services. The popular ASERT blog has been updated and incorporated into the portal to provide technical, in-depth analysis of Internet traffic trends, DDoS attacks, new malware families and other advanced threats.
Visit the ATLAS Threat Portal at http://arbornetworks.com/threats for access to:
- Global Threat Intelligence via ATLAS: featuring data on attacks, targets, sources, botnets, malware, phishing and much more.
- Expert Analysis via ASERT: technical, in-depth blog posts of Internet traffic trends, DDoS attacks, new malware families and other advanced threats. ASERT security researcher Jason Jones today published a post delving into malware reverse engineering techniques used to better understand new and/or evolving malware families.
- Arbor Research: Infographics, White Papers and Special Reports, like the Enterprise Threat Landscape Report, published today.
- Industry News & Social Media Activity: Stay abreast of the latest news and social media activity from thought leaders across the industry.
“Arbor was funded out of a groundbreaking research project at the University of Michigan. Research has always been at the heart of what we do. This portal allows us to share global threat information with the community at-large, to feature our team of expert analysts, highlight their research and integrate the latest news and social activity that is going on across the industry. The dashboard has a great mix of data, analysis, news and social commentary that is constantly updated and relevant to what is going on in our industry,” said Dan Holden, Arbor Networks Director of Security Research.
