Banknote design company Nanovista is debuting its latest high-tech high-security at the Global Currency Forum this week in Oman.
Dubbed ‘Chameleon,’ the banknote combines colour with a 3D object and give it unique authentication properties, including six colour shift variations that provide an intuitive security feature in movement as design elements are highlighted. The shades are based on high-precision thin-film technology and change colour when the banknote is tilted. Nanoengineered optical structures, developed by Nanovista joint venture partner, IQ Structures, provide a distinctive visual appearance and maximum security.
Nanovista is a design collaboration between the Czech Republic’s IQ Structures and Austria’s Hueck Folien.
