conTgo launches brand new travel App with advanced travel communication and company social sharing and geo-location.

Building upon the strength of the global conTgo communication platform to serve and assist travellers, conTgo is pleased to announce the introduction of its App that now extends the core features of its worldwide messaging platform with even more secure communication and sharing options.

At the same time, conTgo is proud to release a major upgrade to the world’s most advanced traveller tracking system, MapCast™, that integrates the two applications to establish a new threshold in traveller service and duty-of-care enablement for businesses and their travelling employees.

The brand new conTgo App provides an elegant and integrated way to communicate and stay in touch with travellers in any situation ranging from routine to non-routine travel. Geo-location can be used to instantly share your location in order to get local o­ers or assistance messages for routine travel, or can be used to pin-point a traveller who needs help when faced with delays, disruptions or disasters.

Savvy travellers know that when travelling, obtaining a cell/mobile voice connection or data-roaming or Wi-Fi connection is not always guaranteed. Suzette Messa, VP of Product Management comments “One key feature of the conTgo App we are proud to introduce is the automated fallback to SMS whenever the App is not available, making it uniquely reliable whether the traveller has a Wi-Fi connection or not”. The enhanced MapCast will be available for all existing and new clients from the end of June 2012, and the brand new conTgo App will be available for customers to activate on demand.
