Since the establishment of its regional headquarters in Sydney in June 2016, CrowdStrike has experienced significant momentum in its business and customer base. In addition, the company has made investments in recruiting high-quality partners and expanded its channel footprint, designed to help accelerate its go-to market strategy in key industries and customer segments. Fast-yielding regional growth and momentum highlights include:
- Over 660 percent growth of total revenue, year-over-year
- 675 percent growth in total bookings of new business in FY16
- Continued investments across the region with a focus on sales, technical support, engineering and marketing, as well as broadening CrowdStrike’s channel and partner footprint
CrowdStrike Falcon is the only platform that unifies next-generation antivirus (AV), endpoint detection and response (EDR), and a 24/7 threat hunting service — all delivered via a single lightweight agent. With the company’s latest platform update release, CrowdStrike introduced enhanced endpoint machine learning capabilities to bolster its next-generation AV capabilities. Leveraging CrowdStrike’s state-of-the-art file and behavioral-based proprietary machine learning and Indicator-of-Attack (IOA) methodology, CrowdStrike Falcon prevents attacks pre-execution and is particularly effective at stopping new, polymorphic or obfuscated malware, which is often missed by legacy AV solutions.
To continue driving sales, business development, and operational expansion, CrowdStrike has broadened its local leadership team with the appointment of Andrew Littleproud as vice president of APAC. With almost 30 years of experience in global sales and marketing, Littleproud’s focus will be on further building out growth opportunities in established markets such as Australia and New Zealand, and expanding CrowdStrike’s footprint in emerging markets, including Singapore, India, and North Asia. Most recently, Littleproud served as vice president of Asia Pacific Sales and Operations at Blue Coat Systems and prior to that, he held a senior position at McAfee, where he was responsible for leading business operations across Asia Pacific.
“I am incredibly excited about CrowdStrike’s innovative approach to reinventing endpoint protection and revolutionizing the way organizations stop cyber attacks,” said Andrew Littleproud, vice president of APAC. “CrowdStrike has already established a proven track record of continued momentum and customer success in APAC, highlighted by its rapidly expanding customer base and impressive revenue growth. I am thrilled to have this tremendous opportunity to further expand the reach and scale of our regional business.”
CrowdStrike has been working with leading Australian enterprises, delivering its industry-leading endpoint protection platform, for nearly four years. On the heels of its established business, the company is meeting spiking demand for its unique cloud-native solution as more and more organizations are looking to replace their AV or augment it with detection and response capability.
